Taxation for "frontier workers"

There is a Nordic taxation agreement that decides where and how the taxes are to be paid. If you live in one of the border municipalities you should contact your local taxation authorities in order to clear up how to pay your taxes.
If you move to Sweden and intend to live in this country at least for one year, you normally have to be registered as a resident. If so, you shall notify in writing your change of address to the tax authority in your new place of residence in Sweden. The tax authority can tell you more about the rules of population registration in Sweden. Every person registered as a resident in Sweden is allotted a personal identity number, which is used for all purposes.
